Re-bound in three-quarter light brown leather. Raised nads and gilt decoration to spine. Title and author against black ground on spine. Light general wear to leather plus some fraying to top front corner. Age-toning to edges of page-block. Split to front hinge and frontispiece partially detached. All other pages tightly bound. New endpapers. The frontispiece is heavily foxed and has resulted in moderat foxing to facing title page and previous half-title. The adverts to the rear are also moderately foxed. Apart from occasional scatterd foxing the text is remarkbly clean. 453pp
